Day 1:

Our driver will meet you at the airport on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. You will then receive your Route Book with useful information and restaurant recommendations for your trip and your eSim.

Night in Hanoi.

Day 2:

Our local guide will meet you at your hotel around 9am. Soak up the atmosphere of Hanoi’s 36-corporation district on a cyclo tour. Visit the Tran Quoc pagoda on the shores of the great Ho Tay lake. After lunch, discover the Temple of Literature, enjoy a visit to the Women’s Museum, where traditional women’s costumes are showcased to remarkable effect. At the end of the day, enjoy a puppet show on the water.

Day 4:

Our English-speaking guide will meet you at around 8am on your way to the ancient commune of Duong Lam, where time seems to stand still. On the way, visit the Tay Phuong pagoda before arriving in the village of Mong Phu, a typical Red River Delta village with a history of over 1,200 years, brimming with old houses dating back to the 17th century. Stroll through the village’s narrow streets, surrounded by laterite walls that have acquired their lovely brown color over time, discover how soy sauce is made, taste local specialties and visit the communal house, then enjoy lunch with local villagers. In the afternoon, visit the Mia pagoda, then the Thay pagoda, known as the pagoda of the master of the Red River.

Day 5:

Our English-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel around 8am to take the road to Mai Hich via the village of Hoa Binh. Stop at the top of the pass for a panoramic view of the Mai Chau valley. Continue on to the village of Mai Chau, home to the region’s ethnic minority, the White Thai, whom you’ll meet for lunch. Cycle through the rice fields to discover the villages of the region and the daily life of the White Thais. Continue by car to Mai Hich before a 2-hour walk through the rice fields to your host’s home for dinner and overnight.

Day 6:

After breakfast, around 8:30am, leave your hosts for Pu Luong. Discover the local way of life on a 2 to 3-hour walk through rice paddies and small paths used by farmers, followed by lunch (not included) à la carte in a local restaurant overlooking the Pu Luong valley. Continue your walk for another 1h30 or so to reach the guesthouse in Huyen Ba Thuoc, offering a panoramic view of Pu Luong for the night. Relax before cooking dinner with your host.

Day 7:

After breakfast, departure by car to discover a local waterfall. Relax by the water’s edge, then take a 1-hour walk before lunch at a local’s home. Enjoy a ride on a bamboo raft, atypical of the region, before setting off for Tam Coc, where you’ll arrive in the late afternoon.

Day 8:

Early departure from the hotel around 8am, with our English-speaking guide. Join the superb Van Long nature reserve and discover its magnificent landscapes as you cruise along the water on a small sampan, admiring its bird populations. Then on to Hoa Lu, the former imperial capital, with its temples and pagodas nestling in the shade of ancient trees. After lunch, discover another architectural marvel, the Bai Dinh Pagoda. This is the largest Buddhist complex in Southeast Asia, steeped in spirituality. Enter through the impressive Tam Quan gate before admiring the site as a whole, with its immense golden Buddha statues, grottoes and temples, surrounded by lush vegetation.

Day 10:

Departure by minibus around 7am for the port of Ha Long. Start your cruise with lunch on board, amidst the impressive rocky peaks of Tu Long Bay. In the afternoon, a kayak trip immerses you in the magnificent scenery of the bay near Cap La Island. At the end of the day, admire the magnificent sunset over the bay before dinner. Then try your hand at squid fishing after dinner, or relax with a board game.

Day 11:

If you’re an early riser, enjoy the sunrise over the bay with a Tai Chi session before breakfast. In the morning, join a small boat for the day, followed by a kayak trip or relaxation on the boat. After lunch, visit floating villages and the fishing village of Vung Vieng in Tu Long Bay by small raft. Then, weather permitting, discover the Thay cave before returning to the boat in the late afternoon to relax before dinner.

Day 12:

If you’re an early riser, marvel at the splendor of the sunrise over the immensity of the bay during a Tai Chi session. After breakfast, discover the Thienh Canh Son cave. Return to the boat for check-out and lunch, then return to the port to take the road to Hanoi airport for the Vietnam Airlines flight to Hué. Transfer to hotel.

Day 13:

Around 7:45am, departure with our English-speaking guide for the Forbidden City, where you begin your visit with the changing of the guard. At the end of the morning, a small boat awaits you on the lagoon for a boat trip. Discover the local fishing industry, before enjoying a seafood lunch. End your day with a visit to Thanh Thuy village, its rural museum and picturesque wooden bridge covered in tiles.

Day 14:

Our English-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel around 8am to set off on a discovery tour of Hué’s crafts and trades. Start by discovering the artisanal production of Hué’s typical rice noodles, which you can enjoy in Bun Bo and other local dishes. Continue your discovery with a bamboo workshop before admiring the work of rush weaving to make the famous conical hat and bags. At the end of the morning, discover a local pottery workshop and wander through a timeless village with its traditional houses. Finally, enjoy a seaside lunch and relax on the beach before returning to town around 4:30pm.

Day 15:

Our English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel at around 8am. In the morning, discover the peaceful surroundings of a mountain monastery on the outskirts of Hué and marvel at its orchids. Head out into the Hué countryside to discover the history of Tu Duc’s tomb and stroll through its gardens and water features. After lunch, try your hand at making paper flowers with deaf and dumb people, for an original souvenir to take back with you from your trip.

Day 16:

Departure from your hotel around 9am with our English-speaking driver. Take the road to Hoi An and enjoy a photo break by the Lang Co lagoon. Then, from the Col des Nuages, contemplate the region’s sumptuous landscapes, with their lush forests and panoramic views over the sea. Then stop off at Marble Mountain and venture out on this lonely sugar loaf on the southern edge of Danang, home to a complex of caves and pagodas, before arriving in Hoi An.

Day 17:

Departure from the hotel around 10:30am with our English-speaking driver. Spend a few hours outside of Hoi An to discover this distillery. Visit the distillery for 45 minutes and see all the equipment, the laboratory and the maturing cellar, then enjoy a lunch tasting 3 white rums and 2 aged rums. Relaxing afternoon.

Day 18:

Around 8am, join a small group and meet up with our English-speaking guide for a 9km bike and boat tour of the countryside. Throughout the day, you’ll meet local people and learn about their trades, including boat building, mat making, rice alcohol preparation and more. Discover how the region’s famous basket boats are made and learn how to handle them, which requires agility and dexterity. For lunch, take a break in a traditional local house.

In the late afternoon, around 6:30pm, our driver will take you to this theme park that recreates the atmosphere of Hoi An’s old town center. Stroll through the park’s lively streets and enjoy traditional performances until 7:30pm. You can dine in one of the many restaurants offering a diverse gastronomy. At 7:45pm, take your seat for the Hoi An Memories Show, a 1-hour live cultural performance on the history of Hoi An. This performance focuses on 5 themes: Life in Hoi An, Marriage, Lanterns, the Trading Port and finally the Ao Dai.

Day 19:

Transfer around 8:30am to a café-restaurant in the middle of Hoi An’s rice fields. Then off by bike to the local market, about 1 kilometer away, to discover the colorful stalls and buy some of the ingredients you’ll need for your cooking class. The English-speaking chef will then guide you through the preparation of 4 traditional Vietnamese dishes, lasting around 2 hours. Taste the fruits of your labor in this exceptional setting, then drive back to the hotel.
