Discover Panama’s Pacific coast and enjoy its varied landscapes with the MYSTIC PACIFIC circuit. From mountains to heavenly beaches, there are plenty of activities to keep you coming back for more.
In 13 days and 12 nights, the itinerary links five stages on the Pacific side of the country: Panama City and the colonial streets of Casco Viejo, three nights in the green mountains of Valle de Antón, Santa Catalina and its day tour around Coiba Island, the hidden archipelago of Boca Chica with its Three Islands tour, and finally the highlands of Boquete, before a one-hour national flight from David back to Panama City. Two versions are available: with certified bus transfers, or with a rental car for more autonomy on the road.

Day 1:
Upon arrival at the Panama City airport, you will be met by our partner who will take you to your hotel. Settle in comfortably and enjoy the streets of Panama City. Between tall buildings and Spanish architecture, you will be surprised by the cultural richness that the capital of Panama has to offer. Day 2:
After the breakfast, take advantage of the day to discover the old streets of Casco Viejo and immerse yourself in the Panamanian culture. Find all our recommendations about what to do and where to eat in your AZORA GUIDE. If you wish, we can organize a guided tour of the Panama Canal or Panama surroundings. Feel free to have a look at the tours in Panama City and ask us for more information.

Day 3:
After spending the morning enjoying the beauty of Panama City, hit the road to head to Valle de Antón, whether with a certified bus transfer or with your rental car regarding the transportation option selected. You’ll have around 2 hours before arriving in a green mountainous paradise. Settle in your hotel and enjoy a walk in the village while reading your AZORA GUIDE to know more about the best activities to do in Valle de Antón.

Day 4 & 5:
Lots of activities are waiting for you in Valle de Antón! Take your AZORA GUIDE and discover our favorites to spend an unforgettable day.

Day 6:
We recommend enjoying at least one sunrise in Valle de Antón before heading to Santa Catalina. Get our favorites in your AZORA GUIDE. After 4 hours of driving, you’ll arrive in a small place where you will find the beach and a unique underwater life to discover.

Day 7:
Enjoy a day tour to discover the underwater life around the Coiba island. After 45 minutes of boat ride, discover the beauty of the several islands and swim or snorkel with sharks, turtles and countless colorful fish… If you prefer to dive instead, diving tours are available as an option and highly recommended as well! Day 8:
Take the road after the breakfast to reach another small yet beautiful spot on the Pacific coast: Boca Chica. After 3 hours of driving, arrive in a heavenly place of this hidden archipelago for the next two nights. On the next day, you will enjoy a breathtaking Three Islands tour to explore this unknown Pacific jewel.

Day 9:
Enjoy an amazing day tour after the breakfast by the pool. Discover the “Three islands” of Boca Chica and dive into wonderful landscapes between jungle and lost islands. A day to remember between snorkeling, laying on the beach and living the “island vibe”. Day 10 & 11:
Enjoy your breakfast and the facilities of your beautiful hotel before taking the road to Boquete. After an hour and a half on the road, arrive in a charming mountain atmosphere. Feel free to explore and discover this jungle mountain landscape area. On the program in Boquete: hikes, treks, natural spa and nature! Day 12 & 13:
Take the transfer from Boquete to David and grab your flight (1h) back to Panama City. Feel free to ask our team about specifics, that you will also find in your travel plan. After your last night in Panama City that you will appreciate fully while in the historical center of Casco Viejo, it’s unfortunately time to get back home. Our partner will pick you up at the hotel to get you to the airport. Have a safe flight back!

How long is the Mystic Pacific circuit and where does it take you?
The circuit lasts 13 days and 12 nights along the Pacific side of Panama: three nights in Casco Viejo (Panama City), three nights in Valle de Antón, two nights in Santa Catalina, two nights in Boca Chica and two nights in Boquete, before flying home on Day 13.
What is the difference between the bus transfer option and the rental car option?
The itinerary is the same in both versions. With certified bus transfers, from $1,820 per person, every road journey between Panama City, Valle de Antón, Santa Catalina, Boca Chica, Boquete and David is organized for you. With the rental car option, from $2,020 per person, you drive yourself with a car covered from Day 2 to Day 12. The car rental costs, including reservation and full insurance, are part of the package price but are payable directly to our partner upon delivery of the car.
What is included in the price of the Mystic Pacific circuit?
Accommodations and breakfasts, private airport pick-up and drop-off, the Coiba Island tour, the Three Islands tour in Boca Chica, the national flight from David to Panama City, the transfer from the Panama City airport to Casco Viejo, your personalized AZORA GUIDE and follow-up and assistance. The road transfers are included in the bus version, while the rental car with full cover replaces them from Day 2 to Day 12 in the car version. International flights, lunches and dinners, tips and personal expenses are not included.
What is there to do in Valle de Antón?
Valle de Antón is around 2 hours from Panama City and offers a green mountainous setting where you spend three nights. Many activities are available, from hikes to walks in the village; our favorites, several of them free, are listed in your AZORA GUIDE.
What can you see around Coiba Island from Santa Catalina?
Santa Catalina is reached after about 4 hours of driving from Valle de Antón. The included day tour starts with a 45-minute boat ride, then you swim and snorkel around several islands with sharks, turtles and countless colorful fish. Diving tours are available as an option among our activities in Santa Catalina.
What is the Three Islands tour in Boca Chica?
Boca Chica is about 3 hours of road from Santa Catalina, in a hidden archipelago of the Pacific coast. The included Three Islands tour takes you between jungle and lost islands for a day of snorkeling, beach time and island vibe; other beaches and spots are suggested in your AZORA GUIDE and among our activities in Boca Chica.
What is there to do in Boquete?
Boquete is an hour and a half of road from Boca Chica and offers a completely different, mountain atmosphere: hikes, treks, natural spa and nature. For adventure and adrenaline, zip-line and hanging bridges can be booked with us in advance.
How do you get back to Panama City at the end of the circuit?
A transfer takes you from Boquete to David, where a one-hour national flight brings you back to Panama City, followed by the transfer to Casco Viejo for your last night. Both are included in the circuit; only your international flights remain to be booked, and you can use our airline comparator to find the best flight options.
When is the best time to travel to the Pacific coast of Panama?
The dry season, from December to April, is the high season, with minimal rainfall and predominantly sunny and warm weather, ideal for outdoor activities and beach days. May, June, September and October are the low season, with frequent but short tropical showers, while July, August and November offer lush green landscapes, vibrant flora and fauna and fewer travellers.
