Itinerary
Discover Panama’s most beautiful archipelagos on the LOST IN PARADISE circuit. Immerse yourself in paradise and relax for 13 days and 12 nights.
The itinerary strings together the three island worlds of Panama: the Caribbean bungalows of the San Blas archipelago, the Eco-Lodge of Bayano Lake with its caves and the Tiger River by kayak, the white sand of Saboga Island in the Pearl Islands, and finally Bocas del Toro, between Red Frog Beach on Bastimentos Island, the vibrant Bocas Town and the uninhabited Zapatilla Island. Two versions are available: with bus transfers, or with a rental car for more autonomy at the beginning of the trip.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the Lost in Paradise circuit in Panama?
The circuit lasts 13 days and 12 nights: three nights in Casco Viejo (Panama City), one night in a bungalow in San Blas, two nights at the Eco-Lodge of Bayano Lake, two nights on Saboga Island, two nights on Bastimentos Island and two nights in Bocas Town, before your flight home on Day 13.
Which archipelagos do you visit on this island circuit?
Three island worlds plus a lake: the San Blas archipelago on the Caribbean side, Bayano Lake and its Eco-Lodge, the Pearl Islands with Saboga Island on the Pacific side, and finally Bocas del Toro with Bastimentos Island and Red Frog Beach, Bocas Town, Carenero and the uninhabited Zapatilla Island.
What is the difference between the bus transfer option and the rental car option?
The itinerary is identical in both versions. With bus transfers, from $2,540 per person, the road journeys between Panama City, San Blas, Bayano Lake and the Pearl Islands are organized for you. With the rental car option, from $2,600 per person, you drive yourself with a car covered from Day 2 to Day 6. In that case, the car rental costs, including reservation and full insurance, are part of the package price but are payable directly to our partner upon delivery of the car.
What is included in the price of the Lost in Paradise circuit?
Accommodations and breakfasts, private airport pick-up and drop-off, complete pension during your stay in San Blas, at Bayano Lake and on Saboga Island, the San Blas Archipelago tour, the Bayano Caves and Tiger River tour, the ecological walk tour on Saboga Island, the Zapatilla Island tour, both national flights between Panama City and Bocas Town, the taxi-boat transfers to and from Bastimentos Island, your personalized AZORA GUIDE and follow-up and assistance. International flights, lunches and dinners when you are not in complete pension, tips and personal expenses are not included.
What do you do in San Blas and at Bayano Lake?
In San Blas you sleep in a bungalow in full pension, then a boat takes you around several islands of the archipelago, with the natural swimming pool and a fresh lunch before heading back to the mainland around 3:30pm. At Bayano Lake, a 20-minute boat ride brings you to the Eco-Lodge, with a private bungalow, jacuzzi and kayak, then a local certified guide takes you through the Bayano caves and their inhabitants and along the Tiger River.
What is there to do on Saboga Island and in the Pearl Islands?
Two full days of relaxation on beaches you will often have to yourself, with kayak, paddle and pool at your disposal and an ecological walk tour included. Whale-watching is strongly recommended between July and October; outside that period we suggest the island tour with the best snorkeling spots of the archipelago.
How do you get to Bocas del Toro?
After the Pearl Islands, a transfer brings you back to Panama City and a national flight takes you to Bocas Town, then a taxi-boat to your hotel on Bastimentos Island. Both national flights and the inter-island transfers are included; only your international flights remain to be booked, and you can use our airline comparator to find the best flight options.
What do you see on the Zapatilla Island tour?
On Day 11, you leave the hotel at 9:30am towards the Bahia Honda reserve, where dolphins and sloths can be observed. On the way to Zapatilla you snorkel over the corals and among many fish, then, after a local lunch, you spend a few hours on this uninhabited island, a real Robinson Crusoe landscape of clear water and white sand.
When is the best time to travel to the islands of Panama?
The dry season, from December to April, is the high season, with minimal rainfall and predominantly sunny and warm weather, ideal for beach days. May, June, September and October are the low season, with frequent but short tropical showers, while July, August and November bring lush green landscapes, fewer travellers and the whale-watching season in the Pearl Islands.
Can the Lost in Paradise itinerary be customized?
Yes. You can select additional activities and places in Panama, adjust the pace or the hotels, or compare it with our other island circuits such as Bocas Paraíso and Caribe Dreamin. Tell us what you have in mind when you request your quotation.
